It's a great feeling, right? It's been a decade plus since I've written any popular open source code, but I still run into my old work on occasion. I found a date picker I made being used on the NHTSA website, a hotel booking site, and in software my wife used to register as a vendor for events this year.

Great post. A few days ago I was feeling lonely on a trip and I looked at the stuff around me. I realized everything around me was built with human hands and engineers. Each one of them went through design reviews and each one of their inputs lead to a product. For some reason, I didn't feel so lonely anymore.

At least for now, we know everything around us had some human's input and guidance. It'll be a sad day when AI fully designs and iterates human devices without any human input.
